Courtesy Car Terms & Conditions

  1. Eligibility
    The courtesy vehicle provided by Old Mill Garage Ltd is available to customers who are having work completed on their vehicle at our garage. To be eligible for the courtesy vehicle, you must hold a valid UK driving licence and be above the age of 21. Please note that there is a charge of £10 exc VAT per day for the use of the courtesy vehicle.


  1. Use of the Courtesy Vehicle
  • The courtesy vehicle is provided for personal use only and must not be used for any hire or driving school purposes.
  • You are responsible for the vehicle and must ensure it is driven by an authorised driver who meets all legal requirements.
  • The courtesy vehicle must not be driven outside the UK without prior written consent from Old Mill Garage Ltd.
  1. Condition of the Vehicle
  • The courtesy vehicle must be returned in the same condition as it was when issued.
  • Any damage to the vehicle, including but not limited to scratches, dents, or mechanical issues, must be reported immediately to Old Mill Garage Ltd.
  • You will be liable for any damage caused to the vehicle during your use, subject to a Damage Excess of £500. This amount will be charged for any repairable or irreparable damage incurred.
  1. Cleaning Charges
  • The vehicle should be returned in a clean and tidy state, otherwise a Cleaning Excess charge of £100 will apply.
  • If the vehicle is excessively dirty, particularly if the interior requires special cleaning, a Specialist Cleaning Excess charge of £200 will apply.
  • No pets are allowed in the courtesy vehicle(s), and smoking inside the vehicle is strictly prohibited. If any evidence of this is found within any courtesy vehicle(s) a Specialist Cleaning Excess charge of £200 will apply.


  1. Fuel
  • The courtesy vehicle will be provided with a recorded quantity of fuel, and it is expected to be returned with an equal amount.
  • Failure to return the vehicle with the same quantity of fuel will result in a refuelling charge, which will include a surcharge of £50 for fuel and administration costs.


  1. Smoking and Pets
  • Smoking is strictly prohibited inside the courtesy vehicle.
  • Pets are not allowed to travel in the courtesy vehicle. Any evidence of smoking or pet-related damage will result in additional cleaning fees.
  1. Insurance and Liability
  • The courtesy vehicle is insured by Old Mill Garage Ltd. However, you are responsible for any fines, penalties, or charges incurred during your use of the vehicle.
  • Any damage caused due to negligent driving, misuse, or driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs will result in immediate suspension of the courtesy vehicle and may incur additional charges.
  1. Return of the Vehicle
  • The vehicle must be returned by the agreed date and time.
  • Failure to return the courtesy vehicle on time will result in additional daily charges.
  1. Liability
  • Old Mill Garage Ltd is not responsible for any loss, theft, or damage to personal belongings inside the courtesy vehicle during your use.
  • You agree to indemnify Old Mill Garage Ltd against any third-party claims arising from your use of the vehicle.


By accepting the courtesy vehicle, you agree to these Terms and Conditions.
